 Dogs and cats, even if they are kept as pets, are more likely to get many diseases due to close contact with them.  Cats fall and play with us to express their love.  Bacteria, viruses, fungi, worms, parasites, dust, dirt, etc., which are present in pets without our knowledge, are more likely to cause many physical abuses when they play like that.  All of these germs can easily infect children.

 Infections can be caused by touching infected cats and spitting on them.  Cats’ fur coat and fur can also cause a variety of diseases.  People with low immunity, the elderly, children and pregnant women can be affected by the above mentioned germs.

 Toxoplasmosis, a disease caused by cats, affects the brain.  By pets,

 A bacterial infection called Camphylobacter infection

 Bacterial infection called Cat scratch disease,

 Ringworm is a skin problem caused by the fungus Ringworm.

 Tuberculosis:(TB)

Tuberculosis is caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis. It is an infectious disease.  Cats are more likely to transmit TB to humans.  The disease is spread by the cat’s breathing directly into a person’s human body, and its fluid and mucous membranes into the human respiratory tract.  The human respiratory and digestive organs are badly affected by this disease.

 The body of the infected cat will remain lean.

 Frequent biting,

 Spitting mucus.

 There will be fever

 If the disease had struck the man,

 Letting go of the fever,

 Colds occur,

 Body slim,

 Food does not digest,

 Will not be hungry,

 Weight loss,

 Inflammation of the lymphatic vessels.

 The disease can be cured quickly if the disease is easily detected and treated quickly and nutritious foods are taken.

 Toxoplasmosis:

 Infection caused by the parasite Toxoplasma gondii.  This parasite is found in many animals and birds.  Especially found in cats.  Infection can also be caused by touching the feces of an infected cat.

 Symptoms of the disease:

 In many cases, the disease can occur without any symptoms.  Usually the symptoms of the disease vary depending on the immune system of the affected person.  To a person with a strong immune system

 Headache

 Fever

 Muscle pain

 Sore throat

 Inflammation of the lymph nodes in the neck.

 To a person with a weakened immune system

 Seizures

 Severe headache

 Vision disorders

 Confusion

 ” Cat scratch disease ”:

 The disease is caused by the bacterium Bartonella henselae.  The disease can affect people of any age.  It can be easily cured with proper care.

 Ways to prevent this disease:

  •  Vaccinate cats in a timely manner as advised by your doctor.
  •  Bathing cats at least once a week.
  •  Destruction of treatment in case of injury
  •  Avoid cats who are immunocompromised.
  •  Preventing cat saliva and urine from getting on us.
  •  Taking care of the items we use without touching the cats.
  •  Keeping the cat’s location clean.
  •  Wash hands thoroughly after touching the cat

 By doing so we can protect ourselves from getting sick.
